Why is Barre so good as a pre-natal exercise? |
Whether you're new to exercise or already in routine, Barre is safe and effective way of exercising whilst your body begins to change.
Barre is no impact ♥️ in all classes we use body weight only. This becomes even more important as your centre of gravity changes and the demands on certain muscle groups alters. We help you maintain active postural muscles to help prevent or minimise issues such as lower back pain that come for your ever growing bump!
We focus on correct core function ♥️ Using your core safely is essential through pregnancy as it's a massive stabiliser of your entire body. Understandably, it get puts under a little strain as baby gets bigger and bigger, so having a core that can function to it's best whilst these changes are happening is a must have.
Spine mobility and rotation ♥️ Your spine can really feel the effects of pregnancy. Not only in that your bump starts to displace your centre of gravity, but also how much more difficult movements like rotation can start to become. We'll help you keep this mobility safely.
Pelvic floor health ♥️ Let's talk about the muscles that hold it all up! Let's be honest, potentially one of the most talked about things in women's health, especially pregnancy and we're here for it! Whether you deliver vaginally or by c-section, your pelvic floor will take some strain throughout the months it takes to grow a human. Barre works the pelvic floor meaning you'll be well prepared for the next part.....
Push it, push it REAL good! ♥️ You got it! Abdominals and pelvic floor (and a lot of swears potentially) are what get your baby into the outside world! Strength and stamina in these muscle groups will absolutely help you through a vaginal childbirth 🤞 If you have a c-section, having a strong core will be much easier to rehab once it's safe to do so. |
